California: The Center of the Universe
September 3rd, 2016 - October 23rd, 2016
At the height of the Cold War, fifteen of the twenty-five largest aerospace companies in the United States were based in Southern California. The Golden State has had an indelible impact on the development of the nation's space program through endeavors such as the 100 inch reflecting telescope at Mount Wilson, the Hubble Space Telescope, the Apollo command module and more. This exhibit explores the impact this diverse region had, and continues to maintain, on aerospace and our understanding of the universe.
