Death lingers in every shadow. It coils beneath the serpent's fangs, blossoms within the fairest flowers, sleeps in the earth beneath our feet, and waits with quiet patience for every beating heart. 

 invites you on a haunting journey from the silent dangers of the natural world to the solemn beauty of Victorian mourning, and finally beyond the veil through séances, divination, and tales of restless spirits. Blending science, history, folklore, and the supernatural, this exhibition explores not only how we confront death, but why humanity has always sought to understand what may lie beyond the final breath.

This benefit concert helps support the Fullerton Museum Center and the Leo Fender Gallery.

 Since 2006, the Leo Fender Gallery at the Fullerton Museum Center has drawn visitors from around the world to marvel at the inventive genius behind the world’s most popular musical instruments. Rotating exhibits have focused on advertising, patent schematics, electric basses, and unique instruments and custom guitars from Fender and G&L Musical Instruments.

California Sound: Fender Legacy - Our Celebration for Leo Fender Day

Our Rock Star Academy for students grade 3-6 will be here before you know it! Monday through Friday, from July 20th - July 24th, students will learn basic guitar, drums, bass and production techniques from working professionals during this hands-on week of Rock 'n' Roll making.

The class runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, so kids will want to pack a lunch and drink for a supervised lunch break during this full day camp. No experience necessary. Instruments will be provided.

After enrollment, our education team will email you to confirm details, review expectations, and complete onboarding so your child is fully prepared for the first day.

Camp doors open 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Please plan for timely drop-off and pick-up, as we do not provide supervision before or after camp hours.

A lunch for their break and a water bottle that closes. All instruments and primary materials are provided unless otherwise noted.

One 30-minute lunch break and two brief 10-minute supervised movement breaks will be scheduled throughout the day to support student focus, comfort, and transitions between activities.

Parents are invited to attend the last 15 minutes of the final day for an informal student presentation.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK OR MISSES A DAY?

Please keep your child home if they are unwell. There are no makeups, refunds, or rescheduling options for missed camp days.

Camp tuition is non-refundable once registered unless the school cancels the session.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF STUDENTS DURING CAMP?

Students should demonstrate respectful behavior toward instructors and peers at all times. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

CAN MY CHILD BRING TOYS OR PERSONAL ITEMS?

Please label all belongings. Outside toys or electronics should remain at home unless approved. The school is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Yes, we may photograph or record activities for promotional use. No student will be identified by last name without written permission. Families may request a media opt-out by notifying the front desk.

Each camp concludes with a formal performance for families. Our programs are designed to be a fun trial experience or a strong jumpstart into ongoing musical study.

Fullerton Art Walk 

Folk singer & rocker, the media and fans call 'The Rock n Roll Poet' - is an Outlaw Folk & Rock /Honky Tonk singer-songwriter. A voice of the forgotten regular people who've been kicked around by life. Whether songs of society, protest, social struggle, love, honky tonkin', hard luck, satire or rebellion. 

Michael recorded his new album in Nashville TN set for release late 2026 where he does shows three times a year playing regularly at Bluebird Cafe  the songwriting mecca. He fronted OC Garage rock legends The Earwigs. 

He's been compared to songwriting legend's Hank Williams Sr., early Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie & Willie Dixon- not sounding like them - but as a link in the chain of great American songwriting.

Alexis Jaimes is a poet and educator from Santa Ana, California. As the proud son of Mexican immigrants, his work explores the intersections of cultural memory, language, generational trauma, and healing. He is the author of The Seeds We Sow (Daxson Publishing, 2026) and Corazón Coalesced (Bottlecap Press, 2024). His work has appeared in numerous presses as well as showcased at the Fullerton Museum Center and the Huntington Beach Art Center. He teaches in a dual-language classroom, believing in the power of language in all its forms. Alexis can also be found hosting or attending open mics throughout Orange County.

Shanelle is an artist whose work looks to question society and create visibility in a world that continually erases lives and stories. She is currently a member of Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble and has participated in multiple festivals as a performer, writer, and producer. Shanelle has crafted works in musical theater, singing, art, dance and ensemble-based works. She hopes to continue using art as a way of truth, community and empowerment.

THOSE WHO HAVE EARS, LET THEM HEAR. LA-based SEED is a five-piece alternative rock band of childhood friends from Orange County, CA. Since June 2025, SEED has taken over the OC/LA indie and diy scene, headlining and selling out venues including the Whisky a Go Go, Anaheim House of Blues Parish Room, The Glass House, and The Haven (to name a few). Releasing their first two singles in late 2025, SEED has earned features in the Brandy Melville LA Studio, and on the air with Remember Then Radio, Midnight Memories, Beach Music TV, and more.  

LoverSonicos is a cumbia band from Orange County. In their music they highlight the challenges, resilience and pride of their community.  

Dynamic and delicate yet powerful without hesitation. Dancing on the edge of rock, indie, and psychedelic. Fullerton’s local indie jam band Motelimbo tells stories of life, love, loss, and the in between. 

The Imperial We is a power trio from Fullerton featuring:

Paul Gallagher, vocals/guitar. Born and raised in Fullerton. A former singer and songwriter from the Fullerton band ROOM TO ROAM.

Marc Miller, bass. Born and raised in Fullerton. Brother of Scott Miller, the original drummer of AGENT ORANGE.

Jim Moore, drums. Former drummer of the hardcore punk band WALK PROUD.

Their music is blues-based rock with an eclectic mix of punk, swing and jazz.

John Kraus and the Goers: Sea Shanty Psychedelic–Celtic Rock.

Led by a real-life tall ship captain, John Kraus and the Goers bridge the gap between traditional maritime music and high-energy folk rock. Their sound--oft described as a meeting between The Pogues and Mumford & Sons on the high seas—reimagines traditional shanties with a gritty, modern urgency.

BE YOU PRIDE FEST Fullerton on Saturday, June 6th, 2026

! The fifth annual celebration will be bigger than ever this year, covering Wilshire Avenue with vendors and art activities AND a second stage. This empowering event will showcase the local community and the pride Fullerton has for LGBTQIA+ folk, offering a platform for inspiration, education, and celebration.  

The BE YOU Pride Fest is FREE, and open to people of all ages and genders.

Our Light the Mic Downtown Art Walk event will be Pride themed for Pride Month! It will be hosted by Jarli Riveria.

This event is free to attend. Doors open at 6:45pm

 is a local artist dedicated to supporting diy music and art scenes. They hope to inspire people to create more than consume, and advocate for new original performance spaces that challenge people to grow. Their current practice at brain and body music studio is in community creative arts healing. when they are not mentoring young musicians; they spend their time swimming, practicing archery, or reading near a tree.

is a Lesbian-American Party Poet writing nightlife energy, dance floor romance, and dramatic humor into every piece.  Her work’s been featured in zines like 

. She’s an active creative community member and hosts the Arvida Open Mic every last Saturday of the month and will be volunteering as MC at Sol Do, Orange County’s only free creative arts festival, August 2nd.

Join us on Saturday, May 30th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM for a Creative Co-Op led by OC Made 2nd place winner Germs! 

This workshop is a Sip & Paint, and participants will be making a 16x20 canvas Lucha Squid using non-toxic acrylic. All materials are included, plus each guest receives one drink ticket. 

Space is limited to 25 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot early.

Mother's Day Weekend Creative Co-Op

A closing reception celebrating this innovative exhibit will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 1:00 PM at the Fullerton Museum Center. Come by and speak with Sam about the exhibit and the cultural legacy of the Taíno people.

 is a collection of ten vibrant abstract works that challenges the long standing narrative that Caribbean history began with Christopher Columbus in 1492. Through bold color, layered symbolism, and contemporary techniques, the series highlights the enduring presence and cultural legacy of the Taíno people.

The collection was created after Mendoza discovered her Puerto Rican and Taíno heritage. This personal exploration of ancestry and identity informs each piece in the series, resulting in a body of work that reflects both cultural rediscovery and historical reflection.

The title references the year 1491, the final moment before European colonization altered the cultural and political landscape of the Caribbean. By naming the series 

, Mendoza emphasizes that Taíno culture did not disappear with European contact. Instead, it continues to influence Caribbean identity and heritage today.

Fullerton Museum Center is hosting “Love Blocks Out Hate”, a fundraiser for the annual Be You: Fullerton Pride Fest in June. 

The event features one-of-a-kind 6x6 x 1-1/2” birch plywood art blocks that were created free of charge by local artists. Each unique and one-of-a-kind piece will be auctioned off to support Be You: Fullerton Pride Fest. We invite the community to come together to celebrate local art and pride on this special night! 

The blocks will be auctioned off from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Each block submitted will have a starting auction price of $100. 

and open to people of all ages to come and enjoy local art with us. 

Come enjoy live music curated by Pride Committee Member DJ Molly B, along with our signature Beer Garden. 

After the auction, Fullerton Pride Fest will be holding an opportunity basket drawing donated by local businesses.

Love Blocks Out Hate 

A four-part lecture series led by art historian Dr Megan Lorraine Debin at the Fullerton Museum Center. This series explores the power, creativity, and resilience of women artists and thinkers in Mexico—from ancient civilizations to modern art. Through engaging storytelling, rich visuals, and thoughtful discussion, each session brings history to life. Wine, beer, cocktails, and mocktails will be available for purchase. Food trucks will also be located outside of the museum. Price includes admission to all four lectures.

Come hear all about Charlie Davis a quiet force behind Fender’s golden era. Beginning his journey with the company in 1957, Charlie worked every step of the manufacturing line, from rough-cut wood to the final finish. But it was his unmatched skill in winding pickups that earned him legendary status. Revered by musicians and trusted by icons like Dick Dale, Charlie became the only technician many would allow near their prized guitars. 

His hands shaped the sound of surf rock and beyond, helping define a generation of music. Through decades of change, Charlie remained fiercely loyal to Fender, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship and dedication. This exhibit honors his remarkable contributions and finally gives this unsung hero his spotlight.

 José Enrique Medina earned his BA in English from Cornell University. His chapbook "Haunt Me" won the 2025 Rattle Chapbook Prize. His work has appeared in USA Today Hispanic Living and Best Microfiction 2019, and he is the founder of the Chickens & Poetry Residency for Writers.

 Camille Hernandez (she/they) is Anaheim’s third Poet Laureate (2024-2026), the first Black and Filipina woman to hold the position. She authored the books "Motherlands" (Finishing Line Press, 2025). "The Hero and the Whore" (Westminster John Knox Press, 2023). Camille’s writing honors the women who kept their secrets intact and their altars clean. She is a fellow of The Watering Hole, an inaugural fellow of the McCormack Writing Institute (formerly Tin House) and an inaugural fellow of Roots.Wounds.Words. In 2025, OC Register named Hernandez as one of Orange County’s 125 Most Influential People for her contributions to establishing accessible literary arts programming.

The Fullerton Museum Center proudly presents 

 a new biennial juried exhibition dedicated exclusively to artists living and working in Orange County, the only exhibition of its kind in the region.

Showcasing 108 artists and over 130 artworks, the exhibition spans painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, reflecting the breadth and creative vitality of Orange County’s contemporary art scene. Together, these works form an evolving narrative shaped by diverse voices, grounded in place, and defined by each artist’s unique perspective.

We are honored to have such respected pillars of the art community serve as guest jurors: Abel Alejandre, multidisciplinary artist; John D. Spiak, Director and Chief Curator of Grand Central Art Center; and Dave Tourjé, multidisciplinary artist and co-founder of the California Locos collective.
