The Curiosity Cabinet of Charlotte Webb is committed to teaching ethical taxidermy through education, craftsmanship, and respect for animals. Our workshops are designed to educate participants about the art, history, and techniques of taxidermy in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment. 

This class is specifically focused on the proper techniques for butterfly pinning.

All specimens used in our classes are ethically sourced, and no animals are harvested specifically for our workshops. We believe learning these traditional preservation techniques encourages an appreciation for wildlife, natural history, and responsible stewardship of animal resources.

Our goal is to provide an educational experience that emphasizes craftsmanship, ethics, respect, and the preservation of a centuries-old art form. We believe education fosters understanding, respect, and appreciation for the natural world.

These workshops provide an opportunity for the public to engage with natural history in a hands-on educational setting while learning a traditional skill that has long been used in museums, scientific collections, conservation, and artistic preservation.

Butterfly Pinning: Taxidermy Class

The Garden Sessions are a free Thursday evening concert series held from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM throughout September and October, where community comes together to enjoy live music, local art, and great drinks. Featuring talented Orange County musicians, a beer garden, handcrafted cocktails, art vendors, and live artists, it's the perfect way to spend an evening in the garden with friends and family.

Death lingers in every shadow. It coils beneath the serpent's fangs, blossoms within the fairest flowers, sleeps in the earth beneath our feet, and waits with quiet patience for every beating heart. 

 invites you on a haunting journey from the silent dangers of the natural world to the solemn beauty of Victorian mourning, and finally beyond the veil through séances, divination, and tales of restless spirits. Blending science, history, folklore, and the supernatural, this exhibition explores not only how we confront death, but why humanity has always sought to understand what may lie beyond the final breath.

"A Man Named Charlie: Fender’s Unsung Hero", celebrates the life and legacy of Charlie Davis, a quiet force behind Fender’s golden era. Beginning his journey with the company in 1957, Charlie worked every step of the manufacturing line, from rough-cut wood to the final finish. But it was his unmatched skill in winding pickups that earned him legendary status. Revered by musicians and trusted by icons like Dick Dale, Charlie became the only technician many would allow near their prized guitars. His hands shaped the sound of surf rock and beyond, helping define a generation of music. Through decades of change, Charlie remained fiercely loyal to Fender, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship and dedication. This exhibit honors his remarkable contributions and finally gives this unsung hero his spotlight.

A Man Named Charlie: Fender’s Unsung Hero

 brings together the California Locos Collective—founded by Dave Tourjé—and celebrated artists Chaz Bojórquez, John Van Hamersveld, Norton Wisdom, and Gary Wong, whose work bridges fine art and popular culture. Embodying the innovative, multicultural spirit of Los Angeles, the exhibition explores the influence of Southern California's surf, skate, punk, graffiti, hot rod, lowrider, and lowbrow cultures. Through painting, drawing, and mixed media, the artists recontextualize the Southern California experience, challenging traditional art historical narratives while celebrating the diverse, multigenerational communities that continue to define the region's creative identity.

Presented by the Fullerton Museum Center, 

, and is both an exhibition and a cultural event. Opening night will feature a special performance by the legendary Los Angeles punk band 

all original members—Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom, and D.J. Bonebrake

. More than four decades after its inception, 

 remains one of the most influential bands to emerge from the late-1970s punk movement, with music that continues to be as groundbreaking today as it was at its debut.

Together, the exhibition and live performance offer a rare opportunity to experience the visual art and music that have helped shape the cultural fabric of Southern California.
