Beakman's World

Beakman's World

January 30th, 1999 - May 16th, 1999

An interactive science exhibit, brings the fun of the television series Beakman's WorldTM to the Fullerton Museum Center. This exhibit takes visitors on a journey of discovery through the principles and facts of science. Children and the young at heart learn about the natural world by answering questions about how the world works. Fantastic worlds are explored in this exhibit through a series of fast facts, brain challenges, and "take it with you" activities. Vistors explore questions and answers in hands-on displays that show what makes a rainforest, how we can explore outer space, what lived during the time of the dinosaurs, and how the human body operates. Among the many displays and activities, visitors can learn about the laws of physics by becoming a Newtonian Pinball Wizard; spend time in the Rain Forest Cafe; use a computer game to simulate a space station mission and participate in a murder mystery to deal with that pesky problem of dinosaur extinction.
